"Every year Parks and Wildlife does a survey of the invasive aquatic plants that are present not just in Caddo Lake but in all of our reservoir statewide," District Fisheries Biologist Tim Bister said.

Bister said Giant Salvinia did not exist in Caddo Lake until 2006, when it was discovered at a Louisiana boat ramp in James Bayou.
